The Leafs will be hosting the Panthers tonight. The Leafs enter this game off a 7-0 beat down to the Bruins on Saturday night. The Monster will get the start in goal for Toronto. Tough game from a betting perspective. It is hard to bet the Leafs as a favorite without Reimer in goal and Florida has lost 4 of their last 5. I'll pass on this game altogether. It is a tough spot for a struggling Kings team. Los Angeles has lost 5 games in a row and is playing their 3rd game in 4 nights and played just last night in San Jose. Bernier will start in goal for the Kings as well. The Predators are hot with 4 wins in their last 5 games. I'll be placing a small bet on the Preds tonight. On to today's official play.

In their past 4 games the Stars have scored 18 goals (4.5 goals / game). They will need their goal scoring touch tonight facing the potent offence of the Washington Capitals. The Capitals are coming off a rare loss on Saturday to the Islanders. The Capitals will go with Neuvrith in goal tonight. Lehtonen is expected to start in goal for Dallas.

I like the OVER 5.5 goals in this game. It is not uncommon to look at the total for a Capitals game and see 6 and that may very well be the case in the near future. But for now we are seeing the total at just 5.5. The Capitals offence continues to click. They have scored 3 or more goals in 7 of their last 8 games. The Dallas offence is in peak form at the moment scoring 18 in its last 4 games. Stars goalie Lehtonen is just 4-6-0 with a 3.10 GAA vs. the capitals. No Voukon in goal for the Capitals.
