The Leafs are coming off a rather fortunate win over the Jets last night after falling behind 3-1. So far the Leafs have had it pretty easy - starting the season with five consecutive home games. Things will start to get a little bit tougher for the Leafs beginning tonight as the Leafs will be heading to Boston to face an angry Bruins team. The Bruins are coming off a 4-1 home loss over the Hurricanes in which they took 72 penalty minutes. For the first time this season it looks as though the Leafs will not have Reimer between the pipes. Gustavsson is expected to get the start in goal tonight for Toronto to give Reimer a rest. For the Bruins Tim Thomas was the first off the ice for the morning skate so we should see him in goal for the Bruins.

The Maple Leafs started last season with a 4-0-1 record also and went on to lose 10 of their next 11 games. Let's not award the Stanley Cup to the Leafs just yet. It is fairly evident that the Leafs have some issues on the blueline. Komisarek and Schenn are both struggling back there right now. It is hard to say how the Monster will look in goal for the Leafs tonight. However, It would not surprise many if he looks a bit rusty. I see the Bruins coming away with the win in this game. Back to back games and travelling for the Leafs, no Reimer in goal to bail out them out, and facing an angry Bruins team who has been sitting at home waiting for them. Currently the Bruins are a 1.57 favorite at 5 Dimes Sportsbook. This is too much juice for me personally.
