I Will Be Betting a 2 Game 6 Point Teaser (Ties Push)

Game #1:

New York Giants (+9) at New England Patriots (-9); Total 51

Game #2:

Chicago Bears (+8) at Philadelphia Eagles (-8); Total 47

I will be taking the New York Giants (+15) and the Philadelphia Eagles (-2) in a 2 team 6 point teaser at Bodog Sportsbook. Every team at some point through the season has its ups and has its downs. It is just the way it is. It is hard to play good consistent football for the entire grueling NFL season. The New England Patriots started the season on a torrid pace scoring 30 or more points in their first 5 games. But even the Patriots appear to be entering a down point in their season. In fact the number of points the Patriots have scored has dropped for them every single game. They have scored 38-35-31-31-30-20-17 points in their first 7 games. As you can see their offence was much more efficient at the beginning of the season than it is now. This week the Patriots face a good Giants team that has won 5 of its last 6 games. Eli Manning is having a great year and if his receivers come up with some big catches (as opposed to dropping so many like they did last week) I think the Giants have a chance to even win this game. While they might not win I love their chances getting +15 points. I'll take the Giants +15 points (teased up 6 points from +9) as the first game in my 2 game 6 point teaser.

As mentioned above every team goes through ups and downs in the season and there may not be any team more up right now than the Philadelphia Eagles. After a terrible start to the season the Eagles have won 2 in a row including a 34-7 drubbing of a decent Cowboys team last week. This week the Eagles face a good Bears team coming off a win over the Bucs in England two weeks ago. The Bears are coming off a bye and will be rested but the bye has not been friendly to many teams this season. The bye seems to be hurting teams more than it is helping them. The bye sure didn't help the Patriots last week. It doesn't matter who the Eagles are playing right now. They are playing their best football of the season should beat anyone in font of them. I'll take the Eagles -2 (teased down 6 points from -8) as the second pick in my 2 game 6 point teaser.
