The Vancouver Canucks do have a concerning amount of injuries heading into the 2011-12 NHL season, most notably to Ryan Kesler and Mason Raymond. Kesler is coming off hip surgery and it is still unclear when he will be ready to go. And Raymond is still recovering from a fractured vertebra suffered in last season's finals. With the injuries to start the season and a potential Stanley Cup hangover the Canucks could potentially get off to a slow start. However, the Canucks have way too much talent and surely will claim a top 4 spot in the West and home ice in the first round.

Prediction:

The Canucks slip to third in the West and make a deep playoff run but run out of gas in the Western Conference Playoff Finals.
