The Indianapolis Colts (0-5) are coming off a tough 28-24 loss last week vs. the Chiefs. On a positive note for the Colts QB Curtis Painter has looked better than expected. Painter has started two games this season for the Colts putting up some decent numbers: 558 yards, 4 TD's, 0 INT's, 107.2 QB rating. In just two starts Painter already has 3 TD passes of 59 yards or more. They may be without Manning but the Indy receivers are still putting up some good numbers. Both Wayne and Garcon are both on pace for 1,000+ receiving yard seasons. The Indy receivers are going to have to have a big game this week as Colts RB Joseph Adai is banged up and is questionable for this week's game. Indianapolis has signed RB Darren Evans off their practice squad for this week's game.
Not much was expected of the Bengals this season but they have started with a very respectable 3-2 record. The Bengals are coming off a 30-20 win in Jacksonville last week even with a disappointing effort from RB Cedric Benson (just 53 yards on 24 carries). The Bengals pass defence has been solid this season allowing just 205.8 yards per game this season. This week should be a better test for the Bengals defence.
Currently the Bengals are a -8 favorite to win this game at 5 Dimes Online Sportsbook.

Sure the Bengals have overachieved and as a result they may be getting a little more credit than what they actually deserve. Conversely the Colts get little respect with their 0-5 record but the Colts are getting better and better each game adjusting to life without Peyton Manning. The Colts are 0-5 but only one of those losses have been by double digits. They have been in every game they played accept for their season opener. I expect the Colts to be in this game as well. Laying -8 points with the Bengals seems like to many points to me. Give me the Colts and the +8 points in this game.
