What have we learned through 3 weeks of the NFL season?
Well one thing that stands out to me is that when a good team comes out with a weak effort
and embarrasses themselves they seem to bounce back the next week and play a great game.
In week #1 Pittsburgh was not impressive but they shut out the Seahawks in week #2.
In week #2 we saw a good Ravens team lay an egg in Tennessee and then
come out and lay the smackdown on St. Louis in week #3.
These are just a few that stand out to me.
Well in week #3 we saw the Patriots blow a 21-0 lead to the Bills and lose 34-31.
How will the Patriots respond this week to that meltdown last week?

The Pats Raiders game should be a great one to watch as it features the #1
passing offence in the Patriots vs. the #1 running offence in the Raiders.
After blowing a huge lead last week in Buffalo
you know that Belichick and Brady can't be happy about that.
Expect an even more focused Patriots team this week.
Now, neither team isn't very familiar with one another as
they haven't played against each other in 3 seasons.
As always Belichick will have the Pats ready:
"We studied them quite a bit in the offseason
to become familiar with them because we hadn't played them since '08,"

The Raiders (2-1) are coming off a 34-24 home win over the Jets last week.
Yes, the Raiders are much improved and bode a great running attack.
However, they still make a lot of mistakes.
Through 3 games this season the Raiders have taken 30 penalties for 271 yards
and many them are of the completely stupid variety.
When you play an efficient team like the Patriots you can't afford
to make mistakes or take dumb penalties.
Throw in the fact the Patriots are coming off an embarrassing loss (after blowing a 21 point lead)
and you know the Pats will be fired up for this game.
Currently the Patriots are a -5 road favorite in this game at Bodog Online Sportsbook..
The -5 doesn't concern me that much as the Patriots are not much of a field goal scoring team.
The Pats have 12 TD's to just 4 field goals on the season.
The Raiders are catching the Patriots at the wrong time this week.
