The 2011-2012 NFL Season gets underway Thursday night with the Saints & Packers.
This should be a great game to watch but our game of interest is on Sunday.
Our NFL Week #1 pick is for the Titans vs. Jaguars game.

The big news surrounding the Titans vs. Jaguars game has been the release of Jaguars QB David Garrard just a few days before the start of the regular season.Instead the Jaguars will go with Luke McCown at QB. McCown has appeared in only 16 NFL games and has just 7 starts. As a starter McCown is 1-6 with 9 TD's to 10 Interceptions.

The big news coming out of the Tennessee camp has been the signing up their star RB Chris Johnson who had been holding out. Johnson has not had much practice in the pre-season but will be ready to go for week #1. The Titans also have a different look at QB bringing in veteran Matt Hasselback. This should be a welcomed addition for Titans WR Kenny Brit.

Currently the Jaguars are a -1 favorite in this game.
It just seems ridiculous to back a team like the Jaguars as a favorite.
The Titans have a big advantage at Quarterback. Yes, Johnson may be a little rusty and not get 30 carries. However, Jag's RB Maurice Jones Drew is coming off knee surgery in the off-season and it is also unclear if he will be at 100%. We'll take a rested and rusty Chris Johnson anyday in this matchup. The Titans have won 3 of their last 4 in Jacksonville including a 30-3 beat down last season.
Instead of taking the +1 with Tennessee we'll take the +115 at 5 Dimes for them to win.
Give us the Titans over the Jaguars to open the 2011 NFL Season.
